Chicago-rooted. Black-centered. Community-built. Black Minds Matter Foundation is preparing for its official January 2027 launch — building culturally grounded pathways for mental wellness, creativity, leadership, movement, and community.
LOVE YOU. LOVE YOURS.
The Model
Before people can fully love their lives, relationships, families, communities, purpose, work, creativity, finances, or futures — they must first learn how to love themselves.
When you learn to love yourself, you begin to handle your life differently. You love your mind differently. Your body differently. Your people differently. Your future differently.
First: Love You.
Then: Love Yours.

Why Now
These communities have adapted, survived, rebuilt, and carried generations. The question is not whether our communities are resilient. They have already proven that.
The deeper question is: how much longer should resilience be the requirement?
Black Minds Matter Foundation exists to help build stronger support systems around the people, families, students, creatives, athletes, and leaders who are already holding their communities together.
We are not here to replace
community strength.
We are here to invest in it.
How We Do The Work
We don't build a catalog of programs. We build around five connected areas of practice — each one grounded in the same belief: love yourself first, then build from there.
Culturally grounded spaces to reflect, process stress, rebuild self-worth, and develop healthier relationships with self.
Movement, coaching, teamwork, and discipline as tools for wellness, confidence, regulation, and leadership.
Podcasting, video, music, photography, and writing — turning lived experience into expression and connection.
Connecting wellness to purpose, relationships, finances, work, school, and decision-making.
Service projects, events, partnerships, and intergenerational relationships that build community.
Intergenerational by mission. Young-adult-forward in our first launch phase.
Pre-Launch Momentum
BMMF is not waiting until 2027. We are building, testing, serving, partnering, and preparing — showing up in community now so the foundation is real by the time it launches.
Joined the Pitch In playground cleanup initiative to help maintain and care for community park spaces across Chicago.
Developing early wellness circles, sports-based mentorship sessions, and creative storytelling labs with community partners.
Connecting with schools, churches, coaches, creatives, wellness professionals, and community organizations ahead of the 2027 launch.
2026 is not a waiting period. It is a build season — fundraising, pilot initiatives, community service, partnership development, volunteer engagement, creative projects, and organizational infrastructure.
